Richard A. "Chuck" Curtis died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
He was born Aug. 12, 1965, in Ottawa, the son of Mary A. Callahan Curtis. He graduated from Pomona High School in 1984. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County.
Mr. Curtis was a lifelong mechanic and had worked for the last 12 years as an automobile mechanic for Whites Automobile Inc. in Louisburg.
He married Crystal Sleichter on Jan. 7, 1990, in Ottawa. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Chelsey Curtis, Baldwin City; a sister, Elizabeth Bell and husband Jim, Chapman; and two brothers, Tony and wife Shawna, Bowie, Texas, and Danny and wife Jamie, La Cygne.
Mr. Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Mary A. Callahan Curtis.
