Christopher James Aarons, 55, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at his home in Bakersfield, CA. Chris was born in New Orleans, LA on April 17, 1965.

After only completing the 7th grade due to a broken home life, Chris made a life for himself in Fox, AK working construction and trapping for a living, then cross-country truck driving out of Atlanta, GA. Determined to better his life in his mid 20’s, he got his GED and put himself through college.

In 1991, while starting his studies for LSU, he met his wife, Donna Terrio, with whom he spent the last 29 years of his life as a loving and devoted husband. He graduated with honors from LSU as a Chemical Engineer in 1996. He enjoyed flying as a GA pilot, sport shooting with his sniper rifle at the range, and horseback riding. His dream retirement home was to have a horse ranch with enough acreage for a runway and a shooting range.

He is survived by his wife Donna Terrio Aarons; his brother, Russell Gray; and his in-laws, Jimmy and Suzanne Terrio, Debbie Terrio Landry, Gary Westcott, Cheryl (Terrio) and Larry Taylor, Tommy and Sue Terrio, Mark and Lynne Terrio; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Lee and Teresa Terrio; his brother-in-law, Lloyd “Lobo” Landry; his sister-in-law, Margaret Terrio Westcott; and nephews, Sammy and Korbin Simmons.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
