"Mrs. Gaetana Elefante, 85, of 1159 Jefferson Ave., widow of Michael Elefante, died yesterday in a local hospital. She was born in Italy, daughter of Pasquale Paciello and Custoeia Ricco, and came to this country at the age of 16. She was married in Utica 65 years ago to Michael Elefante. Her husband died in 1956. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and its St. Cosmo Damiano Society. She was also a member of the Ladies of Mt. Carmel Society of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church. Mrs. Elefante leaves two sons, Pasquale and Louis Elefante; two daughters, Mrs. Ted (Mary) Harrer, all of Utica, and Mrs. Anthony (Antoinette) Ferrare of Rome, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Theresa Elefante, Utica. The funeral will be at 9 Tuesday from the Scala Funeral Home, and at 9:30 from St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
