Joseph E. Paradis , 76, of Woodland Meadows, 120 W. Main St., died Friday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
Born in Chelsea, he was a son of the late Edward and Anna (Lauzier) Paradis .
Mr. Paradis was a member of the merchant marine from 1937 to 1967 and received several citations in World War II.
He leaves two sisters, Eve Kostyun of Norton, Laura MacAllister of Melbourne, Fla., and two brothers, Henry F. Paradis of Attleboro and Arthur Paradis of Norton.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Stephen H. Foley Funeral Home, 126 S. Main St., Attleboro. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro.
