Marian "Bess" Knox
February 5, 1924 - November 15, 2020
Bess passed away peacefully at her home at Rogue Valley Manor on November 15, 2020, in Medford, Oregon. She was born on February 5, 1924 to parents Angus and Katherine Gibson .She graduated from Junction City High School and was a proud Beaver graduate of Oregon State University. While at OSU she met and then became a war time bride of Frank Knox. Bess was an educator, bookkeeper for the family Ford dealership, golfer, skier, wine lover, active community member, school board and Soroptimist member and avid cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and brother Captain Robert Gibson. Bess leaves behind two sons, Scott Knox of Medford, Matt Knox of Bend, sisters Janet Douglas of Medford and Mary Carolyn Glover of Seattle, four grandchildren and a great granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Junction City Education Together Foundation- Tiger Alumni. Bess will be interred at Rest Lawn Memoial Park in Junction City. Ceremony is postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Bess was much loved, lived a full and interesting life and will be greatly missed by many.
