Harriet Sabra Pruden (1933 - 2023)

Harriet Sabra Pruden of Horseheads, NY passed away on April 8, 2023. Harriet was born on April 17, 1933 in Alfred Almond, NY to Cecil and Sabra (Genung) Depew Mason. She attended Northside High School in Corning, NY. She worked as a secretary for 30+ years for Ingersoll Rand. She married Donald E. Pruden on July 25, 1971 at the Painted Post Methodist Church.

Harriet enjoyed playing on golf and bowling leagues through the years. She enjoyed attending the Corning LPGA every year. She was very active in the Campbell United Methodist Church playing in the Bell Choir, singing in the Mixed Choir, doing activities in Women's Group, VBS and Blood Drives. She loved to crochet, do needlework, sew, watch most any kind of sports, and play the piano and organ which she played mostly by ear. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas. She had a love for life and others.

Harriet is survived by children: Pudge (LuAnn) Breitwise of Cornelius, NC, Robert (Yolanda) Pruden of Campbell, NY, Rick (Kathy) Pruden of Binghamton, NY, Gary (MaryAnne) Pruden of Hummelstown, PA, Nancy (Chris) Keefer of Fort Orange, Florida and son-in-law Chuck Wilson, Kitty Hawk, NC; sisters, Shirley Breen of Hampton, VA and Ellen (Don) Walter of Painted Post, NY; brothers: Dale (Jan) Mason of Columbia, TN, Don (Darlene) Mason of Campbell, NY, and Ron (Kathy) Mason of Painted Post, NY; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Harriet was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Sabra Mason; her husband, Donald Pruden; and her daughters, Carlene (Breitwise) Rossi and Debbie Wilson.

A memorial celebration of Harriet's life will be held at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc. 216 East First Street in Corning on Tuesday April 11th at 1:30 PM. Burial will be in Chapel Knoll Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to the Campbell United Methodist Church, Campbell, NY or Bethany Senior Living in Horseheads, NY.

Harriet's family has entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
