Gilpin – Margaret Ann Gilpin, age 65, of Lawtey, Florida went to her heavenly home on September 28, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Clay County in Middleburg, Florida with her loving family by her side. She was born in Starke, Florida on October 8, 1954 to the late Elisha Eugene Austin and Avie Marie Norman Austin. Margaret was a lifelong resident of Bradford County and a longtime member of the Christ Church of Starke. She loved her career as a Supervisor at Pride Enterprise where she served many years. Margaret also enjoyed traveling and shopping. She was a devoted wife to her husband, John Gilpin of over 30 years, loving mother, and grandmother to her sons and sweet grandchildren. Margaret was known to run a tight ship but will always be remembered for her caring heart. More than anything, Margaret loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them all, but especially loved her grandbabies. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Gilpin; sisters, Ruby Mosley and Rosa Mae Mosley; and son, Jason Smith.

Margaret is survived by her loving sons, Craig Wise, Kevin (Pam) Wise, and Chris (Rebecca) Wise all of Lawtey, FL, and Zack (Kim) Smith of Hampton, Florida; her brother, Lester Austin of Lawtey, FL; her sister, Sherry (Jeffrey) Crawford of Starke, FL; her former in-laws who she loved like parents, Ralph and Rebecca Wise of Lawtey, FL; her grandchildren, Shelby (Dustin Mulkey) Wise, Bryson Wise, Avie Wise, Taylor Wise, Dalton Wise, Ashton (Macy Winkler) Wise, Morgan (Clay) Smith, Christopher (Keirstin Woods) Wise, Bailey Wise, Kenlee Wise, Caroline Smith, Jacee Smith; great grandchildren, Trenton, Aspen, Arionna, Adilynn, Ramsey, and Silas; along with many extended family members and friends Margaret loved dearly.
A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Lester Austin, Pastor Jeremy Crawford, and Pastor Jason Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Highland First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday an hour prior to the service at the church.
