York - John Clayton Pangle, 81, entered into rest on December 4, 2020. Born in Winchester, VA, on December 7, 1938 he was the only child of the late Luther P. Pangle and Ethel V. (Dix) Pangle. John attended William Penn High School before entering the USMC in 1956 to 1959. John earned a Good Conduct Metal while a Corporal. He went on to work at Lyon Metal, Cole Steel and retired from Harley Davidson in January of 2010. John was also a lifetime member of the 13th Ward Club.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory, his four children, Kathy L. Pangle (Ross Hamberger) of York, Debra A. Pangle of York, Steven P. Pangle of Lehigh Valley and Shawn W. Pangle of York; eight grandchildren, Eric and Ashley Bievenour of York, Trisha Bosserman of York, USAF MSqt Amber Cleland of Bethesda, MD, Alyssa, Devyn, Aspyn and Ryan Pangle of York; ten great-grandchildren with one on the way. John will be laid to rest at Red Lion Cemetery. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., is entrusted with the arrangements.
