FENWICK, JEANNE 87 - of Galloway, formerly of Margate and Atlantic City, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the A.C.M.C. Mainland Div. after a lengthy illness. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Edward F. Fenwick. Born in Kingston, Pa. to Ruben and Florence Williams, she later moved to Atlantic City during the war. Jean worked at Hackney's Restaurant in Atlantic City for 24 years and was one of the "Hackney Girls." She was shop steward there until the restaurant closed. She obtained her real estate license which she worked at for a short period of time. Jean went to work for Local 54 as a secretary and moved up to the position of business agent. As business agent, she organized Great Adventure Amusement Park in Jackson. Jean became the first female vice president of a local union in the area. Later Jean went to work for the Golden Nugget in labor relations and retired from the Trump Castle also working in labor relations. Jean is survived by her two sons, Scott F. (Cheryl) and Gary D. (Rosemary); six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and her sister, Betty Williams in Calif.
