Adia Meyer Brickey was born on August 4th. The angels came softly to deliver their kindred soul, who was our Mother, to our Lord and Heavenly Father on October 4, 2007. She will be lovingly missed for her strong spirit, unconditional love, and generosity. Adia was preceded in death by one daughter, two sons, and loving husband, Derrell Lloyd Brickey. She is survived by her daughters: Cheryl B. Senior, Deborah A. Narlock, and Robin D. Stevenson. Son-in-laws: Jerry Senior, Dennis Narlock, and Jeffrey Stevenson, grandchildren: Stacey L. Parker, Wendy A. Roderick, Casey W. McNamee, and Shelby L. Schumacher, and four great grandchildren, along with many wonderful friends. Adia had lifelong commitments to these organizations: Past Mother Advisor of Five Points Chapter Rainbow for Girls; Past Queen, Daughters of the Nile Rosetta Temple; Past High Priestess, Ladies Oriental Shrine El Minya Court; Chairman and Past President, El Maida Shrine Widows Club; Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star El Paso Chapter #4; Past Worthy High Priestess, High Desert White Shrine of Jerusalem; Past President, Social Order of the Beauceant; Past Royal Matron, Order of the Amaranth Rio Grande Court of Las Cruces, N.M. Past Grand Royal Matron, Order of the Amaranth of the State of New Mexico Grand Court. She was also a past member of the Women's Club of El Paso & Ysleta Women's Club; Beta Sigma Phi and Lamda Gamma Sororities. She was a past President of A.A.R.P. Chapters; member of Incorporation advisory boards of Eastside Senior Citizen Center & instituted Singles Senior Group & Bingo committees. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Evergreen East Cemetery. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Dr., El Paso, TX 79912
