WILLIAMSON, CECIL EDWIN - 1907-2000 - The death of Cecil Edwin Williamson, age 93, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB, on August 8, 2000. Cecil was born in St. Andrews, NB, on April 11, 1907, the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Kay) Williamson. He is survived by his wife Roberta (nee Reed) of Fredericton, a daughter Margaret Stonner (Fred) of North Chatham, New York; a son Allan Williamson of Saint John; a step-daughter Joyce Reinhart of Fredericton; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one nephew and one niece. He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret (nee Lord), brothers Gordon, Leigh, Donald, Edward, Walter and stepson Grev Irwin. Cecil graduated from Charlotte County Grammar School as valedictorian of the class of 1924. For over fifty years following that he was the druggist at Wren's Rexall Drug Store in St. Andrews. He was a member of the Senators hockey team, the St. Andrew's Town Band and the Heather Curling Club. He served as Worshipful Master of St. Mark's Lodge F&AM, a Iona standing member of the Royal Arch Masons. a member of Luxor Temple of NB, past Patron of the Algonquin Chapter OES. a Deacon in the Baptist Church for many years and a Sunday School Superintendent. A memorial service will be held at the St. Andrews United Baptist Church (King Street) on Monday, August 14, 2000 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Geoffrey Conley officiating. Interment to follow at St. Andrew's Rural Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of A.W. Cavanagh Funeral Home "Hillslev", 91 Leinster Street, Saint John, NB.
