Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he was a life-long resident of North Tonawanda. A retired carpenter, he was a member of the Friedens United Church of Christ, Lodge 81, IOOG of Niagara Falls and Local 322 United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners.
Surviving are his widow, the former Josephine Helms; a son, LaVerne Kline of North Tonawanda; three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Dorothy) Keller of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Francis (Violet) Bagley of Briarcliff Manor, N. Y., and Mrs. Jacob (Betty) Marks of Tonawanda; a sister, Elizabeth Workman of St Petersburg, Fla.; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Wattengel Funeral Home, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Carl K. Marks officiating. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery." Niagara Falls Gazette, October 4, 1970
