Winifred Zittrouer Blitch Hagan, age 88, of Atlanta passed away at her residence on January 24, 2001. She had been in declining health the past year. Born in Rincon, GA, she was the daughter of Raddie O. Zittrouer and Bessie T. Hinley. She attended Virginia Intermont in Bristol, VA, and graduated from GA. Southern. Her teaching career began at Commercial High School in Savannah and she retired in 1978 after teaching 25 years at Druid Hills High School in DeKalb County. She was a member of Glenn Memorial Methodist Church where she once taught Sunday School. She was a member of the Georgia Salzburger Society. She was preceded in death by first husband, Groover B. Blitch of Statesboro; second husband, Noel E. Hagan of Huntington, WV; and sister, Mrs. Doris Keith of Milwaukee, WI. She is survived by her son and daughter-in- law, Groover B. and Joyce Blitch, Raleigh, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Steven Papiernik, Perkasie, PA, Ann and Steven Garner, Atlanta, and Bess and Jack Stanford, Decatur, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Paul Bryan of Coronada, CA; eleven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenwich Cemetery in Savannah, GA, Rev. Jim Nelson officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Georgia Salzburger Society, 2980 Ebenezer Road, Rincon, GA, 31326 or the charity of choice. A. S. Turner & Sons
