A heart attack was fatal to Mrs. Martha E. Grimes, widow of William Grimes, Friday morning. Mrs. Grimes, who has been making her home with her son, James E. Grimes, in Carlisle, fell off the chair upon which she was seated and died before medical aid could be rendered. She was aged 81 years, six months and 12 days.

Mrs. Grimes was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Tuckey and was born and reared near Bendersville.

Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Albert Marks, Sparrows Point, Maryland; John Grimes, Cornwall; Emmanuel Grimes, Steelton; Edward Grimes, Harrisburg; Mrs. Robert Stover, Hershey; James Grimes, Carlisle and Daniel Grimes, Hummelstown. Thirty-five grandchildren, a large number of great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Annie Addelsberger, Aspers R. D., and one brother, Samuel Tuckey, Biglerville R. D. also survive.

Funeral services Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the home of James Grimes, 220 East North Street, Carlisle, the Rev. F. F. Floto officiating. Interment in the Bendersville Cemetery.
