His final assignment over the last three years was at Mount Carmel Spiritual Center in Niagara Falls in Ontario. Broughan taught Latin, French, and German in Catholic high schools in Philadelphia. He also worked part time as a religion professor at Holy Family and Rosemont colleges and LaSalle University.
