RAYMOND CARL BROWN
Raymond Carl Brown, 91, of Muskogee, died Wednesday at Muskogee Reginal Medical Center. A native of hamburg, Iowa he was born Aug. 30, 1904. On March 28, 1931, he was married to Evelyn Mershon, who preceded him in death Dec. 15, 1974. They had one daughter, Betty L. Mauldin.
Mr. Brown spent most of his life in the dairy products manufacturing business. He came to Muskogee in March 1937, where he operated the Southern Butter Co. and Lakeside Butter Co. lacated at 5th and Elgin Streets. After discontinuing the butter business in 1957, Mr. Bown accepted a posistion with the Oklahoma State Employment Service where he remained until retirement in 1969.
Mr. Brown was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Muskogee. In addition to his daughter, Mr. Brown is survived a grandson, Jay D. Mauldin of Tulsa, a granddaughter, Kathy Gulley of Waco, Texas, and two great grandsons, Taylor and Austin Gulley of Waco.
