Oliver Hewitt
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday for Oliver Hewitt, 85, a Fresno resident the past seven years.
Mrs. Sylvia Yeager will read from the Bible and from "Science and Health" by Mary Baker Eddy. Cremation will follow at Chapel of the Light, Fresno. Burial will be in Tulare Cemetery.
He died Wednesday night in Fresno.
Hewitt was a member of the First Church of Christ Science. He resided in Wellesy, Mass., until 1954 when he moved to Fresno to make his home with a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Marjorie) Goble.
Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. William Sturdy, Florham Park, NJ, and five grandchildren.
Hewitt's father was a Philadelphia architect, William D. Hewitt.
