Edward L. Kinkade, 80, of Streator passed away Sunday evening (February 9, 2020) at the OSF Center for Health, Streator.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and Streator VFW.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Lowe, Ken Pozzi, Jim Gallick, Steve Crank, Jerry Longnecker and Reno Pence. Honorary will be Bob Babczak, Jim Ashlock, Bob Harrison, Fred Olson, Gary Hiltabrand, Ron Sauers, Tom Rice and John Kinkade.

Ed was born on July 28, 1939 in Streator to Lawrence and Ada (Coomer) Kinkade. He married Janet Renn. She survives.

He is survived by his wife: Janet; son: Craig (Sue Sangston) Kinkade of Streator; daughter: Laurie (Michael) Shepherd of Sweetser, IN; grandchildren: Brandi (Robert) Chappell of Converse, IN, Michael (Chelsey Soultz) Shepherd II of Swayzee, IN; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn and Robby Chappell of Converse, IN; sisters: Wilma Carpenter and Bernadine Broadus, both of Streator; Rosemary (Robert) Webb of Oswego; brothers : John Kinkade and Robert Kinkade, both of Streator; brother--in-law: Frank Schmitt of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents; sisters and brothers-in-law: Audrey and George Vadas, Nedra and Ed Bute; sisters: Carol Schmitt, Norma Kinkade and Mary Evelyn Kinkade; brother and sister-in-law: Charles and Patricia Kinkade; brothers-in-law: Donald Carpenter and Paul Broadus; sister-in-law: Eileen Kinkade.

Ed worked at Streator Brick for 49 years and he served in the United States Marine Corp and he was Commander of the American Legion Honor Guard
