Charles was born in Bell Township the son of Daniel Webster and Emma Jane (Steffy) Grube. He was married in June 1930 to Vada Greene. Charles died in Presbyterion Hospital in Pittsburgh. He lived his entire life in Bell Township and was a car foreman for the B. & O. Railroad.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter Janet and a son David both at home and a son Daniel of Rossiter. Also one granddaughter and a brother Otto Grube of Punxsutawney RD 2.
