Roger Eugene Beckner Jr. of Inverness, FL passed away at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL on December 11, 2020 at the age of 75.

Roger was born to the late Mary Bertha Hinchliffe and Roger Eugene Beckner, Sr. in Gainesville, TX on December 4, 1945.

Roger proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he became a Contractor and owned and operated the family construction business. He was actively involved working with the third generation of family members up until his passing. Roger held both a pilot's license and helicopter license and enjoyed flying in his spare time. He also loved riding his Harley and boating.

Those left to mourn Roger's passing include his loving wife of 4 years, Lee Beckner; son, Roger "R.E." Beckner, III and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren: Jacob Beckner and his wife Andie, Zane Beckner, Kaleb Beckner, Aubrey Beckner; and great granddaughter: Scout Ryan Beckner. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gay Anne Wheeler Beckner in 2007 and his son, Mark Wheeler Beckner in 2002.
