Elva Staggers, aged 84 years, of 1070 Eighth Street, Bonar Addition,
Waynesburg, Pa., died of a heart ailment at 3:55 A.M. Tuesday, March
2, 1965, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had been in
failing health for the past four years.

He was born on a farm in Whiteley Township on September 11, 1880, a
son of Lisbon and Sarah Hoge Staggers, both deceased. He was the last
of his immediate family.

Mr. Staggers was united in marriage in 1913 to Elizabeth Blanche
Mitchell, daughter of R. K. and Harriet Huffman Mitchell.

He was affiliated with the Morrisville Methodist Church and had
resided in Waynesburg for 23 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughters, Nelle, wife of
Thomas Pollock, of Elyria, Ohio; one son, Donald E. Staggers, of
Duquesne, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.

Two sisters, two brothers, three half-sisters and three half-brothers
are deceased.
