Donna Lee Abney, 73, of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL.
She was born May 22, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Kenneth and Virginia Hibbs Yargus, they preceded her in death.
Donna was a graduate of Hannibal High School, Hannibal, Missouri. She and her husband Terry owned and operated Abney Mowing Service for many years. Donna enjoyed Middle Eastern and Hawaiian dancing and taught it to others for many years. She loved gardening and working with her flowers. Most of all she enjoyed life and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who she loved very much. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
She married Terrance L. Abney May 28, 1965, he survives of the home. Also survived by one son Terrance Abney (Karla) of Nebo, IL.; two daughters Sherry Ritter (Jay) of Monroe City, MO. and Tracy Wilburn (Jay) of Ladonia, MO. Nine grandchildren Zach Abney, Taylor Abney, Hunter Abney, Devon Ritter, Terran Ritter, Ean Ritter, Caden Wilburn, Colin Wilburn and Carmen Wilburn. Also survived by her birth mother Velma Whitaker of Hannibal, one brother Scott Yargus, two sisters Lorie Fantz (George), Mina Gross (Phillip), nieces and nephews.
