Eloise Agnes Watson, 87, Eloise Agnes Watson, 87, of Rhinelander and formerly of Spooner, died on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in Astoria, Ore., and a graveside service for both her and her brother Robert will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 30, at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Shell Lake.Eloise was born in St. Paul on July 14, 1911, to Frank and Johanna (O'Brien) Watson and moved to Spooner at an early age with her family. She was a graduate of Spooner High School and received her teaching certificate in Spooner.She taught for nine years at the Cable Lake school and at other schools in the Spooner-Shell Lake area, and later taught in Rhinelander.She spent summers attending college at Superior State University, where she received her bachelor of science degree and eventually her master's.She enjoyed traveling and visited her brothers on the West Coast each year. She loved to read and enjoyed the outdoors, especially birds and flowers.She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rhinelander.She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Blanche Watson, Belmont, Calif., and Velma Watson, Tulsa, Okla., and by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Francis. Her brother Robert C. Watson followed her in death on June 27, 1999, in Astoria.Local arrangements are being handled by Scalzo Funeral Home, Spooner
