Mr. Stanley Xen Baxley, age 83, of Vidalia, died Friday evening, December 18, 2020 at his residence.
Stanley was a native of Coweta County, having lived in Vidalia since 1972. He retired from Georgia Power with 32 years of service. He was an avid golfer, and he loved and adored his grandchildren. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Fannie Baxley; his wife, Linda Baxley; one daughter, Lynn Baxley; and one son, Steven Baxley.
He is survived by one daughter, Kaye Lamb (Kenneth) of Guyton; one twin brother, Sammy Baxley of Milledgeville; and three grandchildren, Meredith, Leslie, and Brian.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22nd at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery of Newnan. Interment will follow. The family would like to extend special gratitude to Fresenius Kidney Care of Vidalia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in his name to Georgia Sheriffs Youth Home, PO BOX 155, Nunez, GA 30448. Ronnie L.
