Known to many as "Mya" or "Mighty", ShaMya attended Calvary Christian Academy where she was baptized in Jesus' name on May 2006. She also attended Lakota, Monroe, and Fairfield School Districts throughout her youth. She graduated from Aiken High School in May 2019. There she participated and expressed her athletic skills in Volleyball, Basketball, Cheerleading, and Track and Field. After graduation, ShaMya attended and completed Empire Beauty School.
ShaMya attended Good News Baptist Church on many occasions. However, Fresh Anointing Impact Church (Pastor Jonathan Dunn) is where she grew and matured spiritually. She got her praise on! She served, worshipped, and praised with the FAI Revelations of Destiny Dance Team. Her Praise Dance gifts manifested during her years at New Life Worship Center where she ministered as a solo dancer and with Pure Anointed Praise Ministry. She sang in the Youth Choir and was a Youth Usher.
ShaMya worked in the family business as a Direct Support Professional serving individuals with developmental disabilities. To know ShaMya was to love her. She was beautiful, smart (alec), generous, compassionate, sassy, humorous, and a feisty firecracker. She loved watching Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, Rick & Morty, and watching Power with her mommy on Sundays. Her favorite fragrance was Vanilla Bean from Bath & Body Works. Her Favorite Color was Blue and Aqua Green. She loved being around family, taking selfies, and entertaining social media. As dramatic as ShaMya was, she learned her acting skill under the direction of Don Sherman with Cincinnati Black Theatre Company (The Jungle Book, Black Nativity), Jackie Jackson with Jakim Group (God's Trying To Tell You Something), and Tisha Griffith Productions (Deepest Shades of Blue).
She leaves to cherish her memories with her loving parents: ShaRhonda M. Moore and Tyrone C. Spears; her stepfather, Eugene Moore, Jr.; her two brothers: Tyler Spears and Tyrell Spears; step-siblings: Eugene Moore, III, Kiara Moore, and MaKinsey Moore; her grandparents: Wanda Lockett, Daryl Evans (Michelle) and Gloria Hayes; and her step-grandparents: Eugene Moore Sr and Carolyn Moore (her Naw Naw); her aunts and uncles: Catherine Spears, Greg Spears, Ike Spears, Ronnell Spears (Cynika), Chico Spears (Valerie), and Marisa Spears; her step-niece, Sa'Riah, and step-nephew Gene-Gene IV. Her precious and loving Godparents, Artis and Jinah Hickman. A host of great and step aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, a second Mom, loyal friends, her bestie Jenecia Hunter, and her Bae Martez Lowery.
