Nora Lee accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Corinthian Baptist Church in Dayton and later was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church for 57 years. Nora Lee was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1962 and was employed with General Motors for 25 years.
Nora Lee was united in holy matrimony to Thomas Page on June 8, 1963. Their lifetime union endured 57 years until the time of her passing. To this union were born three daughters and two sons.
Family was everything to Nora Lee and was at the center of all her activities. Nora Lee was the glue that always held the family together and her spirit and laughter were infectious. Nora Lee was “Aunt Nora Lee” even to those family members and their friends that she was not the actual aunt of.
Nora Lee loved to read, cook, and soap operas, particularly The Young and the Restless. Nora Lee loved to sing and would at any opportunity she could. Nora Lee was a long-standing member of the Macedonia Gospel Chorus, Sisters in Christ Chorale, and numerous other gospel choirs around Dayton.
Nora Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Helen; her brother, William Robert, father-in-law, John H. Page, mother in-law, Leola Page, two sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law. Nora Lee leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband of 57 years, Thomas; loving daughters: La’Jeaune, Tammy and Brandie; adoring sons: John (Kelly) and William (Dalisa); eight grandchildren: Chaunte, A’Muare, T’Euvyn, Thomas, Tyler, Quentin, Genyesis, and Robert; two great grandchildren: Queara and KeiAsia; two sisters: Nervine Banjoko and Linda Bush; sisters-in-law: Margarette Heard, Henrietta Dawson and Linda Page; brother-in-law, Charles (Wanda) Page, a host of nieces, nephews, special McCauley and Horton cousins and close friends.
Private family funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, 11:00 AM prompt at the BAM Redemption Center International, 4917 Webster Street, Dayton, Ohio 45414, Bishop Christopher L. Heard, officiating and Minister Jonathan Heard, eulogist. Walk-thru viewing will begin at 9:00 AM. The family will be present at 10:00 AM. Facial masks are required. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery.
