Shirley Rose Lattimer Jannett, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Teacher, of Ozark, AL, passed away Sunday, 20 December 2020.

Shirley was born on 4 July 1940 in Pittston PA to Peggy (Eunice) F. Walters and George W. Lattimer. She was the oldest of 4 children. Shirley graduated from S.R.U. High School in 1958. On 6 January 1962, she married Nickola R. Jannett in East Smithfield, PA. They were married for fifty-seven years. The couple had two daughters and one granddaughter.

Shirley was a strong Christian; her faith and family were most important to her. Her favorite verses were Numbers 6:24-26. She was a member of Mosherville Bible Church, Mosherville, PA for many years. There she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Woman Missionary Society and co-founder/leader of Christian Warriors. She was an extremely skilled seamstress, could follow any pattern. She enjoyed her spending her time mending, sewing, and creating for family and friends. In the mid 1980's, the couple moved to Ozark. At the age of 47 ½, Shirley learned to drive and was extremely proud of that fact. She earned her teaching certificate and taught school for several years at Harvest Christian School. Shirley joined Ridgecrest Baptist Church in 2001. There, she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Woman's Missionary Union, church decorating committee and enjoyed volunteering in the church office. She loved and was loved by her church family.

Shirley was preceded in death in 2019, by her husband, Nick. Her mother Peggy Coolbaugh, her father George Lattimer and younger sister, Veronica Hill.

Private services are being planned at this time. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memory Garden in Ozark.
