Jack Adair Meets Accidental Death Taylor, Texas, Oct 24. Jack P. Adair, formerly of Marshall, and a nephew of a well known publisher of Marshall, W. A, Adair, fell from a pecan tree Sunday morning while with a party of friends out gathering jecans on the San gabriel river, near town, sustaining a broken back, broken leg and other injuries and dy ing at 2:30 this afternoon. He was some thirty feet distance from the ground, out on a limb of the pecan tree, when the limb suddenly broke, precipitating him to the ground I shall, Texas, and has the intention to where he fell on his back, striking a stump or ridge, breaking the back and completely severing the spinal cord. Mr. Adair came here about six weeks ago to take a position witn the Taylor Daily Democrat and was accompanied by his wife. His mother, in Memphis. Tenn., has been notified, as have other relatives, some of whom have already reached Taylor. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced. Mr. Adair is a brother of Mrs. Harry Brown and was well known in Marshall. He was connected with the mechanical department of The News up to three months ago. He was a man of genial, whole-souled cheerful ness and made friends of all who knew him
