“Well done thou good and faithful servant. Enter now into the joy of your Lord.” Minnie Palmer Hubbard heard these words of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as she entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the age of 90. Minnie was born in Gwynn, VA on January 30, 1930 to Aubrey and Virginia Smith. She was a faithful member of the Gwynn’s Island Church of the Nazarene, where she was actively involved in many capacities as long as her health would allow.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Dickie Smith; husband, Thomas Hubbard; her sons, Keith and Greg Hubbard and her granddaughter, Linda Hubbard. She is survived by her sons, Michael Hubbard and his wife Dianne of Barhamsville, VA, Steve “Bubba” Hubbard and his wife Teresa of Cobbs Creek, VA; her daughter, Judy Leverett and her husband Ron of Mathews, VA; her daughter-in-law’s, Paula Hubbard of Auburndale, FL and Ruth Hubbard of North, VA; her grandchildren, Billy Hubbard (Kathryn), Chris Hubbard (Frannie), Brian Hubbard, Karen Gibson (Alex), Hope Lowe (Jonathan), Travis Glenn (Kasey), Stephanie Rowe, (Jason), Kristen Walden (Danny), Logan Leverett (Jenna) and her twelve great-grandchildren, Kara Rilee, Taylor Hubbard, Thomas and Brandon Hubbard, Cameron and Victoria Gibson, Courtney, Chelsea and Addison Lowe, Kayliana and Stetson Glenn and Aubrey Walden, along with one great-great grandson, Jackson Rilee. She is also survived by her sister, Audrey Pierce of Mathews, VA and her sister-in-law, Shirley Blake of Topping, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Riverside Convalescent Center-Mathews for her care over the past six years and especially over the last nine months during the pandemic. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 11:00 am followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm at the Gwynn’s Island Church of the Nazarene, 1009 Cricket Hill Road, Hudgins, VA 23076. Interment will follow at Gwynn’s Island Cemetery. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, VA is assisting the family.
