Two Rivers - Gilbert "Jim" Henke, age 60, of Two Rivers, died Saturday morning December 19, 2020, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee.
Jim was born on July 30, 1960, in Milwaukee, a son of Gilbert and Darlene (Angelo) Henke. He served his country in the U. S. Army. Jim was a heavy equipment operator for Vinton Construction for many years. He was a devoted weightlifter in his younger years and served on the security team of Neil Diamond. Jim enjoyed old cars, showing off his Mustang at car shows, being a bell ringer for the Salvation Army and loved dogs.
Survivors include his parents: Gilbert and Darlene Henke of Two Rivers; brother: Jeffrey (Karie) Henke of Cincinnati; sister: Julie Almeida of Two Rivers; four nephews: Jeffrey (Peyton) Henke, Drew Henke, Nathan Henke and Connor Keating; and two aunts: Dorothy (Tom) Schultz and Donna Hermance; along with other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, on Saturday, December 26, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A time of reflection will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home followed by military honors accorded by members of American Legion Post #165 and V.F.W. Post #1248 of Two Rivers, burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
