Adelaide was born to Emil and Frieda (Bartz) Hageman on March 27th, 1919 in Garber, IA. She is the oldest and last of 5 children. They were a farming family, and moved between Wisconsin and Iowa in her youth.

When she was 20 years old, Adelaide moved to St. Paul, MN with her sister. She started her career as a teacher, but then moved on to an administrative position during the war. After the war was over and she had to give her job back to a man returning from service, she took a role at St. Paul Buick where she met her husband, Curtis Albrecht. They married in 1952, and adopted 2 children, Michael and Heidi. They raised them between Shoreview and the Chisago Lakes area, and had a home on North Center Lake in Center City for 35 years.

Most recently, Adelaide was living in Osceola, Wisconsin to be near her beloved church community at Trinity Lutheran.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Curtis; son Michael; 1 brother; and 3 sisters.

Adelaide is survived by her daughter Heidi (Tim) Neff; grandchildren Andrea (Mike) Olson, Randy (Lindsay Schmitt) Neff, Crystal (Jason) Wanderi, and Becky Khammivong; 5 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
