Burial is not indicated for Johan Martin. See Martin Zerbe of Tulpehocken and His Zerbe Descendants.
-------------------------------------------------------

Baptism 17 Dec 1671 at Kettenbach, Germany the son of Martin and Anna Elisabetha Zerbe. Died around 1739 in Host PO, Jefferson Township, Berks County, PA.

In June or July 1710 Johann Martin migrated with his family to the province of New York as part of the Palatine expedition financed by the British Crown for the purpose of developing naval stores. It is presumed that Johann Martin's brother Johann Philip came to America on the same ship. Martin settled in Columbia Co., New York, at East Camp, also known as Annsburg and Wormsdorff. From 1710 to 1712 Johann Martin appeared on Gov. Hunter's subsistence list, during which time he drew 91 pounds in food and supplies. Johann Martin and his brother Johann Philip, both of Annsburg, volunteered in Capt. Hartman Winedecker's Co. in 1711 in an expedition against the French in Canada as part of Queen Anne's War. Johann Martin was naturalized a British subject at the town hall at Albany, New York, on 17 Jan 1715/6. It appears that Martin remained in Columbia Co., N.Y., on or near the Livingston Manor, not migrating to the Schoharie Valley as did many of his neighbors, until he migrated to the Tulpehocken region of northwestern Berks Co., PA., in 1723.

The following is provided by F-A-G contributor Andrew Jackson Powell (#48421289). Note for Martin Zerbe and wife Anna Elisabetha (Elbert) Zerbe, and their children:

The place of residence and death for Martin Zerbe and wife Anna Elisabetha (Elbert) Zerbe, and the place of baptisms listed in the Kettenbach Church Book for their children were at Kettenbach in the Duchy of Hesse-Nassau, today:

Kettenbach, Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis, Hessen, Germany (with a postal code today of 65326 Aarbergen, Hessen, Germany, in the Aartal (Aar Valley)).

Kettenbach is located about 10 miles south of Limburg and about 15 miles north of Wiesbaden, in the Land of Hessen, Germany.

Kettenbach the village name is listed in the Find-A-Grave place names under Land (state) "Hessen" and district "Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis".
