Genevieve (aka "Gramma" or "G") Musci, a lifelong resident of Adamston & Clarksburg, West Virginia, passed away on December 25, 2020 at her granddaughter's home. She was 106.
She was born Genevieve Buttafusco on March 21, 1914 in Adamston, West Virginia. 'G' was the second of four children born to Italian immigrants Salvatore and Maria Audia Buttafusco.
At age 15, G married her husband, schoolmate Frank Musci (1913–1988), taking a cab ride during school hours from Clarksburg to Oakland Maryland to be married before a Justice of the Peace. Frank later became a merchant and proprietor of the Hi-De-Ho Pool Room. G never worked outside the home or even learned to drive a car, staying at home to raise two daughters, Marie Fumich (1930–2014) and Sheila Harris (1938–1997).

G loved to cook and care for her family. She lived in the same home that her and husband Frank purchased in the 1940s. She was a devout Catholic her entire life and never missed Mass except for her last year of life. G could speak fluent Italian and kept in touch with relatives in Italy. She took numerous trips and vacations to Italy during her life. She longed to go back once more, but it wasn't to be. G also enjoyed shopping. She loved expensive shoes and handbags, and she took very good care of all of her belongings. She kept her home spotless.

After the death of G's daughter Marie in late 2014, Marie's children, Frank Fumich and Sheila Liljenquist, began sending each other videos of their "Gramma" and her sister and their Great Aunt, Arlene "Ginga" Bashnett, engaged in frequent salty exchanges with one another in an effort to lighten their grief. The videos, which were never staged or scripted and simply taken from the sisters' daily routine, featured profanity and insults hurled between Gramma and Ginga; Gramma's serious and efficient manner often clashed humorously with Ginga's cheerful, more relaxed nature.

When Frank shared the videos on his personal Facebook page, he began to see interest in them from members of the public who had seen the clips when shared by Frank's friends. Frank and Sheila then created a dedicated Facebook page for clips of the sisters, which quickly snowballed into a viral sensation.
The millions of social media views and the resulting fame landed the sisters virtual guest spots on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and an in-person appearance on Little Big Shots: Forever Young with Steve Harvey. They also became notable figures in Clarksburg, serving as marshals for the town's annual Italian Heritage Festival and the Christmas Parade.

In late 2018, G began to need additional care and she moved to granddaughter Sheila's home where Sheila and Frank could take a daily interest in her welfare. Videos of Gramma and Ginga together were no longer possible, and their social media focused on past clips, retrospective photos from the sisters' lives, and the occasional video of Sheila asking Gramma questions about her life.

She passed peacefully on Christmas Day, holding Sheila's hand. She was preceded in death by her parents Salvadore and Maria, husband Frank, brother Louie, sister Floranda (aka "Beebe, Peenie"), and daughters Marie (George) Fumich, and Sheila (Coy) Harris and their husbands.

Survivors include her sister, Arlene "Ginga" Bashnett; five grandchildren, Paul Romano, Sheila Liljenquist, Frank Fumich, David Harris, Michael Harris, and their spouses; numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She will be interred next to her beloved husband Frank in Clarksburg.
