Jean M. Sloup, age 79, formerly of Manitowoc and current resident of Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.

Jean was born on May 26, 1941 in Tisch Mills, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Isadore and Evelyn (Worachek) Coppersmith. On October 18, 1958 she married Kenneth H. Sloup at Tisch Mills. They owned and operated a farm in Tisch Mills, later moving to Manitowoc. After moving to Manitowoc she worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer for many years. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2016. She was a former member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church of Manitowoc.

Survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law: Sue Reilly, De Pere, and her special friend Ed Widi; Cheryl (Frank) Bailey, Westminster, MD; three grandchildren: Andrew Reilly, Amy (Nathan) Radue, Katie (Tyler) Spielman; four great grandchildren: Jordan, Owen, Eli and Tyler, Jr.; one sister and brother-in-law: Ruth (Bob) Dahms, Chippewa Falls, WI; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: John (Marsha) Coppersmith, Two Rivers; Ed Coppersmith, Kewaunee; LaVerne Coppersmith, Manitowoc; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law: Joe Sloup, MI; and Joyce Casavant, Two Rivers. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Isadore and Evelyn Coppersmith; three brothers and one sister-in-law: Richard (Carol) Coppersmith, Robert Coppersmith, Gerald Coppersmith; one sister and brother-in-law: Patricia (Irvin) Deprey.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. December 29, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 18424 Tisch Mills Road, Tisch Mills (next to St. Isadore the Farmer Catholic Church), with Deacon Paul Gleichner officiating. Due to the current health crisis, face coverings and social distancing are required. For those who are unable to attend services in person, the service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page: Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes beginning shortly before the service.
