Chamberlain, Mrs. Jesse (Kennedy, Carrie) Carrie Chamberlain, 91, of Stover died at the Golden Age Nursing Home on August 8, 1974. she was born February 17, 1888 in Morgan county, daughter of the late Samuel James and Susan Melvina Hibdon Kennedy. She married Jesse Chamberlain in 1905. He Preceded her in death in 1916. Surviving her are 2 sons: Guy Chamberlain of Kansas City Kansas and Millard Chamberlain of Payson Arizona; 1 daughter: Mrs. Eula Russell of Stover; an adopted son: Gene Edward Quillen of Kansas City Kansas; 3 step daughters; 1 brother: Ed Kennedy of Stover; 1 sister: Mrs. Edna Bauquet of Tuscon Arizona; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was held at the Kidwell Garber Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Noel officiating. Hymns: Mrs. Jerri Stoner and Mrs Frances Nowl. Organ: Mrs Bob Raines. Pallbearers were: Gene Kennedy, Kessy Russell, Clyde Russell, Connie Dillon, Scott Dillon and George Hedge. Burial in the Versailles cemetery.
