James Spergeon Lamm, age 83, of Granite Falls, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at his residence. He was born February 11, 1937 in Wilson County to the late Mathew S. and Maddie Ruth Proctor Lamm. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Glen Edward Lamm; and a sister, Lottie May Lamm Quinn.
Mr. Lamm had worked as an auto machinist for Charley Taylor Engines and was a U. S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife Mary Frances Crumpler Lamm of the home; one son, James Mathew Lamm and wife Sandra of Robeson County, NC; three daughters, Debra Lamm Corpening and husband Andy of Granite Falls, Virginia Willoughby and husband Steve of Columbus County, and Hartley Shannon Lamm of the home; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
