She was born on August 8, 1939 in Mount Vernon to Floyd and Martha (Totman) Thomas.
Marilyn was a member of Central Church of Christ. Along with her late husband Charles "Chuck" Bagent, they ran the Family Restaurant in Bladensburg and Utica for several years. She had also worked at Conley's and Kmart.
Marilyn was best known for her wonderful cooking and many different handmade crafts.
She is survived by her daughter, Beth Ann Bagent of Mount Vernon and her sister, Joann Smail of Bellville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Bagent, three brothers, Floyd Thomas Jr., Roy Thomas and Ronald Thomas; three sisters, Annebelle Smith, Dorothy Doup and Arlene Cooper.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 – 1:00 PM in Mound View Cemetery with Pastor David Daniels officiating. The Lasater Funeral Home is handling the services for the Bagent family.
