Delores was born on April 4, 1932 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late John "Arthur" and Mary Ann "Mayme" (Kaiser) Schroeder. She attended local area schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the class of 1950 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On August 29, 1953 she was married to Dalton F. Jaeger at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2012. Delores worked as a secretary for Lakeshore Technical College until her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, arts, crafts, playing cards and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Debra (Paul) DeWitt; two sons and daughters-in-law: Mick (Karin) Jaeger and Mark (Terese) Jaeger; seven grandchildren: Brenda (Ryan) Stoller, Cari (Casey Severson) Jaeger, Christy (Daniel) Miller, Dayna (Adam) Shavlik, David Jaeger and fiancé Anna Teran, and Michael (Leigha Casper) Jaeger; four great-grandchildren: Preston, Danica, Owen and Natalie, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Dalton; brother: Art Schroeder and his wife Sharon; sister: Judi Bierman; brother-in-law: Milton Jaeger; sister-in-law: Helen Jaeger; brother-in-law: Donald Jaeger and his wife Carol; grandson-in-law: Eric McLean; and great-grandson: Lucas Severson.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a private family services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Rachel Hacker will officiate with burial of her cremated remains to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
