Mary McFadden

Funeral services for Mary Magdelene (Lewis) McFadden, 82, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the St. James Church of God In Christ, with Jeremiah Jones and Alfred Douglas officiating. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 at Athens Cemetery.

Mrs. McFadden passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at an Ada hospital. She was born November 3, 1938 in Ada to Riley and Lessie B. Franklin Lewis. She lived in the Ada area most of her life. She attended and graduated from Napier Schools. She also attended the Pontotoc County Vo-Tech.

She married Leroy McFadden. He preceded her in death March 6, 2016. Mrs. McFadden was a Certified Nurse Assistant/Certified Medication Aide until her retirement. Mrs. McFadden was a member of the St. James Church of God In Christ, and was the Assistant Church Mother and Home and Foreign Mission Chairwoman.

Survivors include her sister, Victoria Douglas (Alfred); brother, Richard Lewis (Carrie); nephews, Xylyn Charles, Nelson Lewis and Tony Townsend; nieces, Tiffany Charles, Terri Townsend, Ledetric Townsend, LaShonda Townsend and Shelia King (Charles); a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bearers will be Maurice Lewis, Nelson Lewis, Cody Lyons, Orlando Lewis, Morico Lewis and Quincy Lewis.
