Ada Mae Graves, age 90, of Tazewell, TN, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, December 29, 2020 at her residence in the Claiborne County Nursing Home.
She was born on October 9, 1930, in Speedwell, TN. This gentle, loving, caring, and wonderful woman has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed by her family whom she adored and cared immensely for.
She was a simple woman who lived a plain and simple life. She enjoyed working her puzzles and watching her stories on the television. She had a love for flowers and enjoyed nurturing her gardens as she watched and listened to the squirrels dance and the birds sing. She loved to cook and bake and could always be found in the kitchen fixing up supper or something sweet for her family to eat.
At age 46, she confessed her faith in Christ and was baptized in His name. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she loved to worship and praise our Almighty God. She lived a very blessed life.
Ada is predeceased by her father and mother Preston and Doxy Graves and her brother, Grover Graves.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dennis and Glenda Frey, and her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lisa Graves; three grandchildren, Sheila Bennett (Mike), Kristie Givens (Kevin), and Shannon Cooper (Jordan); and her six great-grandchildren, Savannah Johns (Tyler), Madison Denny, Caitlynn Harrison (Josh), Jordan Smith, Cierra Smith, and Adan Estep.
The family would like to thank all the health care professionals at the Claiborne County Nursing Home for their great care during her time spent with them. We are sincerely grateful to the wonderful staff who comforted her and catered to her every need.
Ada will forever be remembered for her gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace, and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and live comfortably knowing that she is in heaven watching over us.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
