Charleen Welch Fortin , 71, Overland Park, died Jan. 3, 1995, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Newcomer's Overland Park Chapel; burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the Little Sisters of the Poor. Mrs. Fortin was a lifelong area resident. She was a volunteer for Phone Friends.
She was a co-founder of the St. Agnes Elementary School Library.
Survivors include her husband, Felix D. Fortin of the home; two sons, Dr. David Fortin , Olathe, and Dr. Don Fortin , Gladstone; two brothers, Robert Welch, Overland Park, and Winston Welch, Warwick, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren.
