James Lowell Buckles, age 73, of London, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Jewell Harris Buckles; two children, Tim Buckles & wife Andrea of London, KY, Scott Buckles & wife Lisa of East Bernstadt, KY; his sister, Lois Shannon of London, KY; seven grandchildren including his special buddy, Kash Buckles, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Buckles and Amanda Cochran Buckles.

Lowell was a retired truck driver and supervisor having worked for 25 years for Overnite Transportation. He was a lifelong member of Twin Branch United Methodist Church and also served in the Kentucky National Guard. He was a member of the McKee Lodge #144 F & AM. Lowell was a Shriner, Kentucky Colonel and a lifelong farmer.

Funeral services for James Lowell Buckles will be held on Friday, January 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Donald Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, Kentucky.
