Betty June “Cootsie” Holstein, 76, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 28, 2020 at a local hospital. She was born in West Virginia where she met the love of her life, Darrell Holstein, whom she was married to for 54 years. Among her favorite things were reading bible, listening to gospel music and spending time with her pet cats, whom she loved.

Betty had a deep Faith in God and loved worshipping Him through playing her musical instruments (guitar and mandolin) and singing. Betty loved the Lord with all of her heart and only wanted those around her to love the Lord as much as she did. She was of the protestant faith, a member of Zion Assembly Church of God.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Velva Lottie Faye and Howard Martin; brother, Verlon “Pete” Martin.

Betty is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Darrell; sisters, Dreama Lane of Cleveland, Brenda Rexroad of Cleveland; special niece Connie Little and husband, Rodney of Cleveland; other nieces and nephews and other family members also survived.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 in the chapel of Zion Assembly Church of God, with Rev. Wade Phillips and Rev. Anton Burnett officiating. Gerod Little, Dustin Little, Rodney Little, Josiah Lane, Robb Lane, and Denny Rexroad will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends at Zion Assembly Church of God from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.

Due to the National Pandemic, the service will be live streamed on Ralph Buckner Funeral Home Facebook Page.
