SFC Pablo L. Alvarado was born in Artesia, New Mexico on January 25, 1953 to Trinidad and Adelina Alvarado, who he joined in Heaven on December 22, 2020. He spent his youth in Roll, Arizona with his loving family, surrounded by his favorite farm lands. Pablo was a high school athlete and played every sport offered but loved basketball the most. He graduated from Antelope High school, class of 1973 in Welton, AZ and went on to study at AWC and BYU where he earned an associate's degree.

Pablo was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in a church mission to Portalegre South, Brazil, 1975-1977. He enjoyed serving in church activities, playing music at dances and spending time with his church family.

Pablo lived in Flagstaff, Arizona since 1983. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 29 years and survived two tours in Iraq during OEF-OIF. He had a long career as a locomotive engineer and heavy equipment operator at Camp Navajo Army base in Bellemont, AZ until he retired. Pablo did not let retirement slow him down. He was passionate about Flagstaff city league sports where he served as a coach and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that he could.

Pablo was a loving, caring father to his two surviving children. He will forever be a hero to his children and family. He is also survived by brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews. Pablo leaves a legacy of kindness, joy and generosity to everyone he knew and loved. He dedicated his life to loving and serving his family, church, country and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pablo is loved by all and will forever be in our hearts until we meet again.
