Doris Frankland was born in Burnley, Lancashire England, to Elizabeth and Fred Frankland, she had a sister called Joan, my mum, and a brother called Alan who died in infancy. Doris married James Caracca from Burnley and had 3 girls, Jean, Eileen and Maureen. In 1953, the family emigrated to Canada to start a new life.
In later life Doris suffered from dementia which finally caused her demise. Her family of many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, still thrive in the Richmond hill area of Toronto.
