York - Velma Smith, 93, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Her family rejoices knowing she celebrated Christmas in Heaven. Born on August 17, 1927 in Baltimore, MD, to the late Bayard L. and Bessie B. (Cunningham) Ilgenfritz. Velma was the loving wife of the late Cameron L. Smith whom she shared 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2012.
Velma leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children, Cameron Smith, Jr. and wife JoAnn of Harrisburg, Cheryl Will and husband Rick of York and Chris Smith and Betty Ramos of York; four granddaughters, Heather and Gary Stewart, Juli and Justin Blanchon, Lori and Fabricio Berrun and Allison Smith and fiance Tyler Demmitt; four grandsons, Dustin and Tonya Will, Cameron and Candace Smith III, Cory and Fabrienne Smith and Carson Smith; great-grandchildren, Will and Bella Stewart, Peyton and Lincoln Will, Mila, Sophia and Jaxon Blanchon, Fabi, Thalia, Mateo and Briela Berrun, Cameron and Cayden Smith, MaeLeeana and Mason Smith, and Preston Demmitt; a great great-grandson, Fabi Berrun; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
