Mrs. Domenico Balzan, 74, of Rt. 4, Rockwood, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning of a heart attack.

Funerals services will be at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Haen will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Eden, Wis.

Mrs. Balzan, nee Angeline Testolin, was born Sept. 24, 1888, at Venice, Italy, daughter of the late Alex and Mary Brazzale Testolin. She was educated in schools in Italy and came to the United States in 1909. She was married Feb. 10, 1909, at Eden, Wis., to Domenico Balzan and the couple lived 15 years at Marblehead, Wis., and 10 years at Quarry before coming to Rockwood in s1934. The couple observed the golden anniversary of the wedding in 1959.

Mrs. Balzan is survived by her husband, four sons, Evo and Anthony of Manitowoc, Orlando of Luxemburg and Alex of Rockwood; a daughter, Mrs. Tony Zucchi of Rockwood; a sister, Mrs. Jerome Binotto of Eden, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
