Carol was born April 5, 1929 to Evelyn and Irvin Clegg and raised in L.A. She was an award-winning portrait artist and watercolor painter. She graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor's degree in Art. She married Dr. Allen Vincent Trainor in 1952 and they raised four children in Huntington Beach, CA. They moved to Big Pine, CA in 1986 after many years of Thanksgiving picnics, arrowhead hunting and fishing trips to the Eastside locale. She was active in the Gold Diggers, supporting local schools and charities. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994. Carol became a proficient nature photographer and won a blue ribbon for her photography at the Tri-County Fair. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, fishing, taking nature walks and viewing the wildflowers. She always looked forward to autumn with its beautiful display of golden colors in the high country. Her favorite hobbies were trout fishing and creating sparkling Christmas ornaments made of beads and crystals for all the people she loved. She is survived by her children, Marion Trainor, Pat Trainor, Carol T. Trainor and Susan Wilcher; her grandchildren, Lauren Burek, Jamey Wilcher and Dana Wilcher. Carol was gentle and kind with a thoughtful, loving heart. She will be missed by all who knew her.
