Manitowoc, Wisconsin - Paul J. Foreyt, age 88, of Manitowoc passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Mary's Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Paul was born June 15, 1932 in Manitowoc county, son of the late Steve and Anna (Svatek) Foreyt. He served with the U.S. Army from 1952 - 1954. Paul was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Sleger on April 30, 1955 at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He worked for Invinsible Metal Furniture of Manitowoc until his retirement in 1994.
Paul was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church (St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo), and the Happy Hoppers. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, cards, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Dorothy Foreyt, Manitowoc; siblings: Adeline Sauer; Emily Ruether; Marie Lasee, all of Manitowoc; Francis (Joyce) Foreyt, Apple Valley, CA; three special nieces and neighbors; other relatives and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, William & Antonia Sleger; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eleanor & George Jung and Helen & Vincent Samz; a nephew Brian Ruether; and several in-laws: Leroy Lasee, James Sauer, Russell Ruether, Patricia Foreyt and Donald Radey.
Private Family Funeral Services were held at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 No. 14th Street), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial was the Rev. Doug LeCaptain with entombment at Calvary Chapel and Mausoleum.
