The Washington, D.C., native lived in Welaka for the past 1 1/2 years, coming from Boca Raton, where she lived for 18 years. She retired as executive assistant to the President of Florida Atlantic University and was a Catholic. She was a member of the Welaka Women's Association, the American Business Women's Association, and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. She received the American Business Women's Woman of the Year Award and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year Award, and was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David Brack of Welaka; two sons, Paul David Brack of Hoboken, N.J., and Daniel Patrick Brack of Pasadena, Md.; daughter, Nicole Jeanine Brack of Jupiter; three brothers, Francis Kane Jr., Patrick Kane and John Kane; two sisters, Mary Ellen McMahon and Kathleen Provencal, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 17, at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Father Jim May officiating. Additional services and burial will be Tuesday at Our Lady of the Fields Cemetery in Millersville, Md. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 16 Nov 2006.)
